FUNKTASY MAGAZINE MAY DIGITAL COVER

During my editorial internship with Funktasy Magazine in the spring of 2025, I was given an opportunity that I will truly never forget—the chance to shoot Funktasy’s May digital cover. This wasn’t just a personal milestone; it was a major moment for the publication as well. Up until this point, all of their previous covers had been digital collages or graphic-based designs—mine was the very first cover to feature original photography. Being entrusted with such a pivotal moment in the magazine’s creative evolution felt surreal, and it’s a responsibility I did not take lightly.

Having the creative freedom to conceptualize, style, and shoot the cover from the ground up was not only an incredible challenge but also a deeply rewarding experience that pushed me as both a photographer and a visual storyteller. It felt like the perfect convergence of everything I’ve been working toward—combining fashion, narrative, and imagery to create something that felt both bold and editorially meaningful.

I’m endlessly grateful to the Funktasy team for believing in my vision and allowing me to contribute to the magazine in such a significant way. This experience marked a major step forward in my career—not just as a photographer, but as a creative professional ready to take on real-world industry work. It gave me the confidence, validation, and momentum to continue pursuing high-impact editorial and fashion photography projects, and it will forever be one of the proudest moments of my journey so far.
